17 Days trip through Morocco from Tangier
Day 1: Tangier – Asilah – Teouan – Chefchaouen
We pick you up at your accommodation in Tangier and leave for Chefchaouen. We will visit the medina of Asilah known for these wall paintings made by great artists, then we return to Tetouan, from there we continue to Chefchouen where you will spend the night in a beautiful riad in the medina.
Day 2: Visit of Chefchaouen
You will have a guided tour in the medina of Chefchaouen, discover the charm of the medina and the blue and white colors of its walls, door, window, walk through the main square, visit the museum of the red kasbah. dinner and night in your riad.
Day 3: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca
We will leave for Rabat after your breakfast, we will visit the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah of Oudaya, then we will continue to Casablanca where you will visit the Hassan II Mosque. Night in a hotel.
Day 4: Casablanca – Meknes
After breakfast we will go to Meknes to visit the great gate of the medina and the Molay Ismail mausoleum. Visit the medina, Place Lhdim and Shrij Soini, the stables. Dinner and night in a hotel.
Day 5: Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After your breakfast we will travel to Volubilis to see the Roman ruins and the beautiful Roman mosaic. Then we continue to Fes. Night in a riad in the medina.
Day 6: Visit of Fes
After breakfast, you will discover the city of Fez with its historical monuments such as: Medersas – Koranic schools: Chahrij, Bouinania and Attarin. We explored the souk, the Karaouine mosque and also the world’s first university. We will also visit leather tanneries. We spend the night in your riad in the medina.
Day 7: Fes – Midelt
Today we will head to the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we will visit the town of Ifrane, known for its famous ski resort.
Then we will visit the city of Azrou to see the monkeys in the cedar forest and then we will go to Midelt, famous for its apples.
Dinner and night in a kasbah in Midelt.
Day 8: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast we leave for Erfoud passing through the Ziz Valley. We will visit a fossil museum in Erfoudm, then we will continue to Rissani and then to the Merzouga desert!
We will ride a camel through the desert and spend the night in a Berber desert camp.
Day 9: Visit of Merzouga
It is a full day in the desert. After sunrise, we return to Merzouga by camel. Then we will continue to Erg Chebbi, a large expanse of sandy desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located. Then we continue along the road that was formerly used for the “Paris – Dakar” itinerary. Stop at the Tissardmin oasis where you can find fossil quarries still present in the area, then continue on a path where you can visit nomads and learn about their way of life. Then we will arrive at the village of Khamilia, where we will have a relaxing tea while listening to a concert of Gnawa spiritual music. Berber pizza lunch, then we return to our camp by camel. dine around the campfire, sleep under the stars.
Day 10: Merzouga – Erfoud – Touroug – Todra Gorges – Boumalne dades
After your breakfast, we will reach the foot of the dunes by camel and return to Boumalne, stopping at Rissani to see the large Tafilalt market and then continuing to Todra via Erfoud and Touroug. Lunch in the Todra Gorges and continue to Tinghir from Boumalne to take beautiful photos of the Dades Valley. Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 11: Boumalne dadès – Ait ben haddou
We will continue our route to Kelaa Mgouna where we will visit a cooperative of rose products, then we will visit the Kasbah of Amridil in the Skoura oasis before arriving at Ouarzazate where you will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt from the outside, then we will continue to the village of Aït. ben haddou without forgetting film studies. Visit the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. dinner and night in a hotel.
Day 12: Ait ben haddou – Marrakech
We will travel to Marrakech via Telouet and here you will visit Glaoui Kasbah and continue to Marrakech crossing the spectacular High Atlas Mountains. Dinner and overnight in a riad in the medina.
Day 13: Visit of Marrakech
You will have a guided tour of Marrakech that includes a visit to the Menara Gardens, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace. the ben youssef school and the souks of the medina with their beautiful colors and smells. Dinner and night in your riad.
Day 14: Marrakech – Essaouira
After your breakfast we will leave for Essaouira, passing through Chefchaouen and Sidi Mkhtar. your aures a free afternoon to relax in a beautiful riad.
Day 15: Visit Essaouira
Guided tour of the medina you will trade after your breakfast, your guide will accommodate you to discover the medina and the port of sqala, visit the jewish quarter, explore the souks of the medina… dinner and night in your riad.
Day 16: Essaouira – Marrakech
After your breakfast, we return to Marrakech with a stop to discover the argan oil cooperative and then continue to Marrakech. Free afternoon to explore the Jamaa Fna square. dinner and night in your riad.
Day 17: Marrakech Airport
We transfer you to the Marrakech airport after your breakfast.
